These are my two final pieces.

Final Magazine Contents Page

This is my final placing for my contents page, i am happy with the colours and home style of this page, i am also happy with how well the item fits in with one of my main articles in the magazine.

Image placing

I have decided that the scond one looks too much like a front cover so i am going to put the image in the corner of the page and fit the writing around it just like on my home styles, i have also decided to use the colours on the front of the magazine.

Contents Page Home styles

This is my home styles for my contents page, the only thing i dont know about is if i should change where the image is and cover the whole contents page.

Vogue Contents pages

 This is the first Vogue contents page, It has a big picture and not much information. There is a date at the top and advertisements round the image. The image stands out over the writing.

 This contents page is completely different, the title is colourful, the month is in a different place and the picture is smaller, there is more writing and information on the contents of the magazine than about the picture.

This is the final contents page, the writing covers the image and in the bottom right hand corner is a sell line that gets you to subscribe to Vogue to get a free gift. The headings are the same colour as the clothing which makes the page more effective.

Contents Proposal

I am also going to create a contents page for my magazine it shouldn't take long but i am going to need to look up different Vogue contents pages to find the right information.

Final Vogue Cover

This is my finished design for my magazine cover. I am happy with everything on the cover, there is nothing distracting and off putting so everything is just like a vogue magazine, simple and effective.

Writing colours

I have decided that using a mixture of blue and purple writing the magazine cover will look alot more effective, i have also added the bar code in the bottom right hand corner like in my house styles. I am happy with how my magazine cover is going so far.

Home styles

This is  the layout i am using for my magazine cover as  this is the main home styles for most vogue magazines.

positioning title

 As i am doing a Vogue magazine its only right that i use the Vogue font, I have decided to se purple as it stands out over all the colours on my magazine and i have decided to try it with the writing over and                                                                                                                    below the image layer. I have decided i like the writing below the image as it makes the image stand  out and is still readable.

image i am using

This is the image i am using for the front cover of m magazine, i did a photoshoot at college to get the look and lighting right. I am going to base the information around the image and try ot different positionings.

Fashion Magazines

This is a Vogue magazine, one of the most popular fashion magazines ever. The font is the same on all vogue magazines apar from the colour nothing else changes. The information is always based around the image with head lines that stand out and draw you in. By not using a background it draws your eyes into the detail and the imae not taking anything away from the cover. 

This is a Slink Fashion magazine, no where near as well know but does still look effective, the magazine name is behind the image but still clear enough to read and the background brings the whole magazine out and gives it more definition. There's not much information on the cover but its neat and compact.

 This is a Chinese Cutie magazine. I like how they have made the model more fine art and different but there is too much colour and information on this cover, although its eye catching it can also be a put off.

 This is a Fashion, fashion magazine, it much more like Vogue and has a similar home style. THe main information is coloured wit the rest standing out below the head line. The background is simple and effective and gives the magazine a sleek elegant appearance.

Out of all these magazines my favourite that im going to base my work around is the Vogue magazine as it looks the most effective and is the most well known.

Change of mind...

I have decided to change my magazine to a Fashion magazine, as this may be alot simpler and look more effective. It will take less work for me to create my magazine cover and so i have decided to change it.
