Inception Magazine Cover

 This is the magazine cover on EMPIRE for Inception. The background brings the image forward but the writing pulls it back making the whole magazine even and everything is in focus. The writing on the sides are based around the image but is not easy to read. I think all the colouring is similar and the bold red stands out over the image and the rest of the writing in this case it may be a good thing.

This is the magazine cover on TOTAL FILM for Inception. The image is too dark and blends into the magazine. But the magazine title is in theme with the name and image for the film it makes the magazine more eye catching and different, it also goes well with the background as around the title it is quite detailed and then towards the bottom it changes and pecomes more shades of plain blues. Even though there is alot of writing it is easy to read and doesn't over power the imaging.

I like the TOTAL FILM cover the best as the writing is easy to read and the title is eye catching and different. Even though the image is not perfect, all the colours go well together and give the magazine alot of depth.                          

Avengers Magazine Covers

 This is the magazine cover on EMPIRE for Avengers. The Image stands out above the writing and the background. This makes the cover much more eye catching and of better quality. Although there is alot going on at once it still has a vast focul point across the whole cover. I like how the writing matches the style and theme of the cover as it is the right text to put in with the Avengers. As there is not much writing you focus on the image.

This is the magazine cover on TOTAL FILM for the Avengers. Its has a blank background that pulls the image back with it and makes them less noticable. Also there is alot going on at once as there is alot of writing it takes focus off of the main view. I like how the image is over the title its just a shame the writing is too bright and gloomy.

I like the EMPIRE magazine cover the best as it is more eye catching and simple. It keeps the focus on the image and draws it forward not bringing it out of view and covered with writing.

Avatar film covers

This is the cover on TOTAL FILM for Avatar. I like how it looks as if the image is coming out of the cover. The cover consists of blue tones and white writing. By using the same colouring it doesnt make the image stand out. This makes the whole magazine less eye catching so people may not notice it. Some of the writing is hard to see because it fades into the background. You can see that the image has been photoshopped in so its not very effective.

This is the cover on EMPIRE for Avatar. Its Writing is bold and stands out above the image yet does not take any focus away. The picture of Avatar is of good quality with bold bright tones of blue and green making the image eye catching. Also by keeping the background plain and dark the whole magazine stands out and creates an eye catching cover.

This is the cover on ENTERTAINMENT for Avatar. It has more of an image set out than writing. The background is blurred out and allows you to focus on the images rather than the writing or the background. You can see that it has been photoshopped in but it still gives a good effect. The images are slightly blurred out.

 

The best magazine is the EMPIRE as it stands out and is more effective.
